Castleton Gardens Castleton
St. Mary Botanical garden 20 minutes from Kingston established in 1862, it has 15 acres divided by the main road and river. Notable for ferns, palms & various exotic trees.

Hope Botanical Gardens & Zoo, Hope Road, Kingston (near Mona Campus, University of the West Indies )
A lovely place for tranquil strolls; aviary, zoo, a small cafe, a cactus garden, sago palms, orchid house, other various greenhouses & ponds. Gardens free.
6-6pm, Zoo $.35 & .15, 10:30-5.

Rockfort Mineral Bath
Rockfort, Kingston Therapeutic mineral spring with public and private baths. The water is slightly saline containing several minerals. Admission fee required.

Beaches:
Hellshire Beach, Gunboat Beach, and Fort Clarance all have changing rooms, heavy security, numerous food stands and sometimes even reggae concerts. Naggo Head has refreshing waters Lime Cay is a short boatride to a small island ideal for picnics and good swimming.
