Temperatures:
You will find an 80 degree coastal average ranging down to 65 in the Blue Mountains. February and March carry the 'doctor breeze', the cooler of the warm trade winds, while 'the undertaker', a nightly breeze is less noticeable. Cool 'northers' through December & March rarely envoke extreme temperatures below 60.
Rainfall & Humidity:
Some areas of Jamaica receive 78in. of rain annually while others, like the eastern shore, and the Blue Mountains can receive up to 300in. Rainy season begins in late May and extends through early December with heaviest rain during September and October. Rain usually falls heavily and is followed by bright sunshine later in the day. Humidity is relatively high year-round, ranging from 63-77%.
Hurricane Season:
Although Jamaica lies in the Caribbean 'hurricane belt', relatively few touch Jamaica (the last was in 1998) Officially the hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30.
